Hi. I’m Aimee. I am an interdisciplinary storytelling artist who works across a variety of narrative media including puppetry, printmaking, painting, comics, writing, music, animation and video. My practice is rooted in curiosity and experimentation. I draw on ideas from Donna Haraway and Ellen Dissanayake, and I work from a cyborg studio model where tools include materials, ideas, relationships, and emerging technologies such as generative AI. I mix analog and digital methods because both invite play and surprise. I believe our processes are meant to be shared, and that our best efforts are collaborative. A big part of my practice is opening the door and inviting others inside. I’m so happy you’re here!
